i am writing to say a huge thanks for making my weekend/birthday so much fun!!
delicious food, crazy yet happening outing, the visit to 'serbuk badan' jewellery shop...*wink and most of all, the lovely gifts, cards, picture albums and video. thank you so much for the effort and love...!!!

11,12,13 april
went to Penang with mission that will paint my future. alhamdulillah, everything went well.
i had a wonderful time there and especially enjoyed the extremely comfortable home, with my cousin and her nice and bubbly housemates. i wonder how most of them thought that i am a kedahan. the way i talk? abviously not...!!
anyhow, i am already used to it because since my matrix and college days, many people think that i am either a kedahan or penangitis. hmm.. i wonder...

butterworth has changed a lot since my last visit on 2006. i still remember the bus terminal was located exactly below the bridge to the island. but now, with its new look and location, it makes the domestic transportation much easier and convenient for the people.

i would definitely come again! and please make sure to take me to places with good food ya! *chuckle

So live the best as it is every day.

Growing old is mandatory,but growing up is optional. This is so true for some people that can't seem to do both at the same time. I might be one of them. Sometimes i am afraid to grow up because things will get more complicated and challenging as we grow up. yes?

i may be weak, but as long as I continue admiring those who are strong, i'll keep growing stronger too. i believe i will grow stronger!

8 & 9 jan : my and hazman kawin-ing...!!

alhamdulillah... both of them were my ex-college mates. My was my chalet mate back then, and hazman was my muscom president. feel so happy for my, and nice people get ended up with nice people too...*smile janji Tuhan itu pasti, and I truly believe that. I went to their reception in Sepang with my best friend and her husband...the newly wed couple.

I really love the song " doa seorang kekasih" by inteam since it was released about 7 years ago, without knowing that it is a piece of doa for people who's getting married [doa bakal pengantin] that is embedded into a sweet song. I highly recommend for you people to listen to the song.

15 jan : the end of my internship

I never know how much I miss my student life when I start to work in Muehlbauer. But still, I learn a lot, and gain a lot of experience from the staff there. Next week I'm gonna start my student life again...!!!

this year's raya was a fantabulous..!!! [best sgt..!!]

raya tahun ini agak luarbiasa dari raya-raya sebelumnya.
seperti biasa, kami pulang behari raya di kampung emak. kali ini kami tidak pulang ke kampung ayah memandangkan atok beraya di gombak [rumah pak ngah] tahun ini.

di sebalik keriangan raya kami, terselit sedikit rasa terkilan kerana ayah tidak pulang ke kampung beraya bersama kerana cutinya dibekukan. namun, ayah lebih rela jika kami berhari raya di kampung dari tinggal bersamanya di pagi raya. "kesian kamu tak dapat raya kalau duduk dengan ayah, baliklah kampung." katanya. kata-kata yang tegas, namun sarat dengan kasih sayang...huhu

ini merupakan kali pertama saya [ehem..gila formal..hehe] bergilir-gilir memandu bersama adik sejauh ini untuk pulang ke kampung. kami bertolak pulang sehari sebelum raya. bertemankan emak sebagai co-pilot, kami hanya mendengar arahannya untuk masuk di mana-mana simpang di dalam perjalanan...haha, gila tak tau jalan..nasib baik mak ada...!!
adik bongsu kami yang langsung tidak berperanan hanya tidur sepanjang perjalanan...cis..!!

dipendekkan cerita, seperti biasa, di pagi raya semua benda-benda wajib pasti dibuat- solat, makan, ziarah kubur, bersalaman.
raya kali ini agak luar biasa kerana keturunan wak pie (gelaran arwah atok shafie) dan wak rah (gelaran arwah nenek zaharah) semakin berseri dengan kehadiran cicit-cicit baru, anak-anak kepada sepupu-sepupuku yang sudah dan juga baru berumahtangga. kehadiran anak-anak kecil yang comel ini sangat menyejukkan mata, dan sangat-sangat mencuit hati. geramm...!! hehe [tetiba jeolous plak tengok anak orang..ngeee]

selain wajik dan lontong, hidangan tradisi yang wajib dimakan kalau pulang ke kampung- ketam bangkang masak cili, asam pedas masak ikan belukang, belangkas masak cili.. sedapnya hingga menjilat jari.

"hasil kutipan" juga sangat lumayan tahun ini. semakin meningkat usia, semakin banyak la hasil. kaya kejap..hehe..selagi belum bekerja, selagi itulah kami masih layak mengutip hasil... hehe

menjaga si kemetot ini sementara menunggu ibu dan bapanya melaram

walaupun masih dalam mood raya..kami tepaksa berangkat pulang kerana cuti raya yang singkat. tapi tak mengapa, insha-allah jika dipanjangkan umur, tahun depan pasti berjumpa lagi..!!

I feel like ramadan is flying by so fast. It's only few days away...Eid is coming.. and with it, the promise of a few more rays of sun each day. *smile

I still remember my first fasting experience, how hard+unusual it was for me. That time I was seven years old. I see the importance of fasting as one of the essential pillars as a muslim as I grew up, and have gotten closer to Allah [insha-allah] and not to forget, on how my Ramadans have been through out years.

"Bukanlah puasa itu (hanya) menahan diri dari makan dan minum. Sebaliknya ia juga harus tertahan dari perkara lagha dan lucah. Apabila kamu dimaki atau diperbodohkan, berkatalah AKU BERPUASA"

Last week was a blast..!!! but it was fun. I went to a lot of places- the factories, the relatives' houses, the sisters' gathering, eating at different places and bumped into unexpected people as well...*smile

Not to miss, I also attended the convocation ceremony of one of my dear friend, Ms Kay. Despite the H1N1 disaster, there were still a lot of people there. Hey, who does not want to share their happy+proud moments together with their love ones??

Yeay..!!! Part 1
I went to watch Harry Potter and The Half-blood Prince yesterday [saturday,18 july] with my friends. I personally think that this is the first Harry Potter movie that has a lot of funny+comedy scenes. Yes, I admit, I laughed my heart out every time when it comes to Ron Weasley's scenes. But sadly, the thrill is not there, maybe it is because there were very few action scenes. Again, this is the first Harry Potter movie that has the lease action scenes.

Overall, i rate 4/10 for this movie. It does not have a strong story line, and I am a bit disappointed since I expect something extra ordinary, with more 'magical actions/stuff ' that gives me the thrill and excitement like other Harry Potter movies. For example: spells, charms and magic thingy that can impress me.

It does not meet my expectation. As simple as that.

Other people might not agree with me, but well, this is just my personal opinion. So, for those who have watch it... what do you think?

Actually it is a late update...but oh well, there's no harm right? *wink

Last week [or a week before that..?? not sure..] a dear friend of mine, miss yat, invited us to experience the fruit season, in her uncle's orchard. But there was a change in plan, so we just come to visit her uncle's family in their house.

Along the way, there were a lot of rambutan trees, waving brightly in red... juicy... scrumptious... just perfect. *drooling

When we arrived, there were a lot of durians and rambutans at the house entrance, waiting to be savoured by us..hehe alhamdulillah...

Barangsiapa yang bertakwa kepada Allah nescaya akan dibukakan jalan keluar baginya (dari sebarang masalah) dan akan dikurniakan rezeki dari sumber-sumber yang tidak diduga.

The durians were small...BUT quite remarkably the sweetest and finest I have taste so far. Never a durian lover myself, so i just taste a few and back off...letting others to enjoy them. *smile

it's usual to have a best friend, or best friends. but in our case, it's different. because she is my cousin, i cannot simply called her my best friend, instead i called her my best cousin. *wink

on feb 22nd 2009, she got a baby girl. after i heard the news, i cannot wait to visit her and her baby. deep in my heart, i am deeply regret and guilty because at last minute during her wedding last year, i cannot be her maid of honour a.k.a pengapit...because on that day, i have my final exam..and i know i have dissappoint her. huhu

she is really understanding. we have been best cousin since we are small. we eat, sleep, bath, gossip, and we did almost everything together. her secret, is my secret too.

actually, now i am busy doing my assignments, and i feel a bit stress, so i decided to divert my attention for a while to something that require less thinking, which is blogging. now, here i am, typing my new first post for march 2009. *smile [ after this i am going back to work..!!]

last saturday was a blast..!!! there was a netball tournament, 3 0n 3. after a long time, i feel alive again, because i miss playing netball soooo much. we were the 2nd runner up from 8 registered team. [not bad laa..]

it was a satisfying experience blended with fun, sweet, and all kind of life flavours. for me, the sense of being first is not necessarily a priority, but giving our best and striving for excellence is a worthwhile goal.

I just received a sad news from my ex-schoolmate saying that one of our teachers, Cikgu Hasnah, had passed away. She passed away on Friday, 6 Feb 2009 after fighting cancer for years.

She taught us chemistry and I will forever remember her teaching style. She always slip-in the brilliant stories of the prophet Muhammad pbuh between her explanations about something.
It is truly a loss for all of us.

I am writing this in memory of her. It is also as a tribute to all teachers who have taken the time to pass on their knowledge to me.

Been there. Done that.

I still remember it clearly, as if it happens yesterday, the day when SPM results was announced...
Indeed, it was a very nice scene to see. Everyone is happy, cheering and laughing. Some were crying, with tears of happiness. One of our friends informed us that all 25 students in our class got A1 for chemistry along with other classes.
Cikgu Hasnah once said that she really wants to see our whole class to get A1 for chemistry. Alhamdulillah, Allah has answered your prayer cikgu..!!! *smile

Today is the first day of 2009. Alhamdulillah, i am very thankful because i was blessed with an incredible gift-a visit from a good friend of mine. She is not just an ordinary friend, she is special, and i had missed her sooo much.

I received a call from an unidentified number in the morning, and i was mistaken that it is dayana, asking for lunch together. After a few minutes talking, i began to realise that the voice belongs to her...and i shouted excitedly,"alamak, saraaaahhhh..!!!!"
I was scolded for mistaken her for another person..haha [masa tuh br bgn tdo...mamai ok!!]
Still, i am sorry..my bad *wink

drive sambil baca peta melaka... semata-mata nak datang ayer keroh...terharu!!

Then, we went out, lunch, and shopping together... I still remember those times when we go shopping at klcc.. we were in there for hours.. crazy...!! haha.. I miss those times.[xpe.. pasni kita shopping sesama ok..? td br warm up je kan?? haha] Now, my shopping partner is back, and i'm looking forward to shop crazily with her.

ok puan-puan, kita tunggu hingga daging empuk... lepas tuh masukkan kaki unta ye.

During lunch, we chat about our friends, marriage, family and future. [Rasa cm dh tua la plak..haha] I really enjoyed and have fun with you, honest!!
Thanx for the treat, and thanx for the visit, it really makes my day!!! *wide smile

By referring to the above hadith, i guess that i have been tested by Allah s.w.t on how to manage my time with patient and determination.

For the past 2 weeks, i have been busy with midterm, assignment, my cousin's wedding... and it ended with a nice thing- hanging out with my close friends, we discuss a lot of things, and that include politics, global economy, marriage and not to miss, our studies.

Part 1: The Introduction

I'll start this post with my visit + my family to my cousin's wedding. The 'kenduri' was nice, simple, but happening. For malays, it is a tradition for us to include the 'sireh junjung' in the 'hantaran items'. Sireh junjung is very essential and important. Ignoring the sireh junjung will insult the family from the other side because it means that we do not respect and welcome them as the new member in the family...something like that

As far as i remember, the task to make the sireh junjung was always being done by my uncles. Don't be surprise, because all the hantarans were solely made by my uncles.. they are the professional...!!! Unfortunately, this time i was chosen to do the remaining part of it, and i have no idea why they picked me. [kne buli..huhu]

With the help of one of my kind-hearted uncle, i managed to do it. [ thanx cik asan..!! u rawks..!! ]

The final product is not soo bad i think..hehe

Part 2:

i managed to finish reading this book, "thanks for the memories". It's from one of my favourite author, Cecelia Ahern. I read all her books, except the new one, 'The Gift'.

Can u meet ur soulmate after u donate your blood? only God knows.

Part 3: Towards the end

Last night we went to ride the "Eye on Malaysia". The ticket can be considered cheap, RM8 = 6 rounds ride. Thanks to the student ID, we got the student discount. Only a few pictures were taken, but it's ok. It not the pics that matters, but the memories. kan? kan?

I found that sometime ago that as a family, we were very busy with our lives- my sisters and i are seldom at home because we are staying away for studies, and left our parents at home. The good thing about all this is when all of us are gather together, we will make our moment together as special as possible.

In all of this where was the part where we bonded as a family and made each feel special? Have fantastic family times full of fun, laughter and learn to talk and be close together. One of them is coming together to complete a jigsaw puzzles. It will bring your family closer.

During my semester break, I bought a 1000 pieces of jigsaw puzzles and decided to solve them to kill some time. Because i was a bit slow, my younger sister and my mother offered to help.

My younger sister was the main contributor in putting together this puzzle (she is much better at it than I), I did most of the sorting of pieces, and helped somewhat in the assembly, and my mother as well.

the most difficult part: the clouds

I would say the most difficult part of the puzzle was the cloud part. The pieces were all the exact same colour, and often times, pieces would fit in a place fine, but then at the end there would be pieces that didn't fit in the leftover holes, so you had to keep trying different rearrangements until all of the pieces fit.

After 4 days :the completed assembly.

After getting through a large part of the first portion of the puzzle, we realized we needed to start thinking about how to store the parts of the puzzle as we completed them.

Eventually, my mother came across an idea that worked quite nicely-to frame the jigsaw puzzle and hang it at the wall in my room. Then, i went to the shop, bought a frame that cost me rm18. Until now, it is hang nicely in my room. [smile]

In considering how jigsaw puzzles are made, the number of pieces will determine the challenge. Most manufacturers will have kids jigsaw puzzles of 2 to 100 pieces. the number of pieces is generally 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 1000 and 1000+, up to 24,000.

At last..!! my dad managed to get approval for his 'cuti' after several rejections for cuti applications from his boss..[susah btol nk dpt cuti..huhu]

For this year, cameron highlands is our family vacation destination after pulau kapas last year.

Travelling always open our eyes to new things if we travel with the right reasons.
if we travel untuk tengok bangunan lawa, shopping, amik gambar,
maka itu jela yg kita dapat...

Tapi kalau kita travel kerana Allah, untuk mendekati Pencipta,
maka kita akan travel untuk menghayati manusia dan peradaban mereka
kerana mereka juga adalah ciptaan-Nya.

And we will discover that there is another world out there, and that Allah's knowledge is so vast. We will discover new ideas, new perspectives and at the end of the trip, we will be awed enough to say "Subhanallah".


And when we do say that, we know that we are one step closer to God.

April 10 will always be a very special day for me !!
This is a pleasant and happy day for me. It's my birthday!! *wide smile [alhamdulillah.. masih panjang umur]

So, I turned 23 that day. I don't think that's old. I probably won't start feeling "old" until I hit 90-ish. *wink


Everyone would have their own happy moments. Mine are my life journey for the past 23 years. It is all the blends of laughter, cries, achievements and failure.

But most importantly, my FAMILY and FRIENDS around me are the ingredients of the blends that shape my happy moments. Obviously, without God willing, there will be no "happy moments" in my life journey. alhamdulillah~
