:: SaLaM maAL hijRah- 1430 ::

current mood : relax, happy and nervous
current song : doa murah rezeki by hijjaz

in review : rukia kuchiki in 1429 hijriah / 2008
from the bottom of my heart

" Wahai Tuhan, apa yang telah aku lakukan dalam tahun ini daripada perkara-perkara yang Engkau tegah daripada aku lakukannya, dan aku belum bertaubat daripadanya. Sedangkan Engkau tidak redha dan tidak melupakannya.
Dan aku telah melakukannya di dalam keadaan di mana Engkau berupaya untuk menghukumku, namun Engkau telah mengilhamkanku dengan taubat selepas keberanianku melakukan dosa-dosa itu semuanya.
Sesungguhnya aku memohon keampuananMu, maka ampunilah aku... "

********

Through out this year, there are ups, and downs, and i am very grateful because i was blessed by Allah swt- tonnes of patience, determination, and courage to go through all the difficult times, and happy moments as well. *smile

When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. Allah swt has stated that there's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more, and not to cry too hard.

No one can go back and make a brand new start, but we can start from now, and make a brand new ending. Allah swt did not promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, and sun without rain. But He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and lights for the way. So, its up to you, on how you are going to face the new challenges in life. Be optimistic, courages and have perseverance in everything you do.

I pray to Allah swt for :
exciting things to do
easy solutions to any problems
knowledge to make the right decisions
strength in my values
laughter and fun
goals to pursue
happiness in every thing i do
valuable experience as i follow my dreams

I thank God for the love ones that I have. Especially those who stayed with me through ups and downs.

Those who accept my flaws.
Those who love me unconditionally.
Those who understand when i don't express myself well.
Those who can smell when i pretend things are OK.
Those who forgive me when i'm at fault.
Thank you for doing me the honour of being with me. For everything, i am eternally grateful. *wide smile

" Wahai Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah, Maha Agung, dan Yang Maha Mulia...
terimalah taubatku, dan janganlah Engkau menghampakan harapanku kepadaMu... "

p/s : bacalah doa akhir tahun sebanyak 3X ketika asar atau sblm maghrib, dan doa awal tahun selepas maghrib. Moga dirahmati Allah selalu... !!

:: thE TedDy bEar ::

current mood : happy, serene, relieve
current song : sifat 20 by nadamurni

There must be stories about you and your teddy bears, and how you got them. [..i believe everyone does have their own stories] Some may came to you with beautiful memories and such. Mine are lovely, and will be remembered for a life time. It feels like i am going to have many years of loving to come. How about you??

German artist Bettina Kaminski’s "Mini the Pooh," at just 5 mm tall,
is the world’s smallest Teddy Bear!

The world’s most expensive teddy bear : 43,000.00 pound sterling.
the mouth is made with solid gold! The fur was made from gold thread and
eyes with pupils of sapphires and irises made from 20 tiny diamonds.

No matter how expensive you buy a teddy bear.

No matter how big the teddy bear you got.

No matter how cute it is.

It does not matter at all.
The thing that really matters is the warm and nice feeling that you get every time you hug it.
Plus, the reminisce that accompany the feeling. *smile
The fine combination of the feeling+ reminisce will make you feel alive than ever, and it's worth it.

p/s : salam aidil adha, moga dirahmati Allah swt sentiasa.

:: menoleh ke 2 minggu yang terdahulu ::

current mood : happy, relieve [ no more midterm..!!! ]
current song : barsaat = rain hindustan siot..hehe

“Sesungguhnya Allah Taala apabila mencintai hamba-Nya
maka Dia mengujinya.”
(Hadis riwayat al-Tirmizi)

By referring to the above hadith, i guess that i have been tested by Allah s.w.t on how to manage my time with patient and determination.

For the past 2 weeks, i have been busy with midterm, assignment, my cousin's wedding... and it ended with a nice thing- hanging out with my close friends, we discuss a lot of things, and that include politics, global economy, marriage and not to miss, our studies.

Part 1: The Introduction
I'll start this post with my visit + my family to my cousin's wedding. The 'kenduri' was nice, simple, but happening. For malays, it is a tradition for us to include the 'sireh junjung' in the 'hantaran items'. Sireh junjung is very essential and important. Ignoring the sireh junjung will insult the family from the other side because it means that we do not respect and welcome them as the new member in the family...something like that

As far as i remember, the task to make the sireh junjung was always being done by my uncles. Don't be surprise, because all the hantarans were solely made by my uncles.. they are the professional...!!! Unfortunately, this time i was chosen to do the remaining part of it, and i have no idea why they picked me. [kne buli..huhu]

With the help of one of my kind-hearted uncle, i managed to do it. [ thanx cik asan..!! u rawks..!! ]

doing sireh junjung under my uncle's supervision.

The final product is not soo bad i think..hehe

Part 2:
i managed to finish reading this book, "thanks for the memories". It's from one of my favourite author, Cecelia Ahern. I read all her books, except the new one, 'The Gift'.
Can u meet ur soulmate after u donate your blood? only God knows.

Part 3: Towards the end
Last night we went to ride the "Eye on Malaysia". The ticket can be considered cheap, RM8 = 6 rounds ride. Thanks to the student ID, we got the student discount. Only a few pictures were taken, but it's ok. It not the pics that matters, but the memories. kan? kan?

Chomey... i like... beli kat jonker street. =)

p/s : i will update more pics later.

:: CanTuMan KaSih ::

current mood:
current song : Lucky by Jason Mraz ft Colbie Caillat

I found that sometime ago that as a family, we were very busy with our lives- my sisters and i are seldom at home because we are staying away for studies, and left our parents at home. The good thing about all this is when all of us are gather together, we will make our moment together as special as possible.

In all of this where was the part where we bonded as a family and made each feel special? Have fantastic family times full of fun, laughter and learn to talk and be close together. One of them is coming together to complete a jigsaw puzzles. It will bring your family closer.

During my semester break, I bought a 1000 pieces of jigsaw puzzles and decided to solve them to kill some time. Because i was a bit slow, my younger sister and my mother offered to help.

My younger sister was the main contributor in putting together this puzzle (she is much better at it than I), I did most of the sorting of pieces, and helped somewhat in the assembly, and my mother as well.

the most difficult part: the clouds

I would say the most difficult part of the puzzle was the cloud part. The pieces were all the exact same colour, and often times, pieces would fit in a place fine, but then at the end there would be pieces that didn't fit in the leftover holes, so you had to keep trying different rearrangements until all of the pieces fit.

After 4 days :the completed assembly.
75X 50 cm.
[smile proudly]

After getting through a large part of the first portion of the puzzle, we realized we needed to start thinking about how to store the parts of the puzzle as we completed them.

Eventually, my mother came across an idea that worked quite nicely-to frame the jigsaw puzzle and hang it at the wall in my room. Then, i went to the shop, bought a frame that cost me rm18. Until now, it is hang nicely in my room. [smile]

*************

About the puzzle
Name: Historical World Maps
Number of Pieces: 18,240
Size when put together: About 276 x 192 cm (6.3 x 9 feet)
Made in Germany, 2002
Participants: Chris and Naomi Hathaway
Start/End Date: April 25, 2004 to April 17, 2005
[source: google.com]

Why Are Jigsaws So Popular?

Jigsaw Puzzles give a relaxed, focused, happy feeling where work seems so far away. You decide on the motivation you put into any pursuit. A jigsaw allows you to get the best from that motivation.

In considering how jigsaw puzzles are made, the number of pieces will determine the challenge. Most manufacturers will have kids jigsaw puzzles of 2 to 100 pieces. the number of pieces is generally 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 1000 and 1000+, up to 24,000.

p/s :currently i'm working on my life jigsaw puzzle. i believe i will manage to solve it somehow. *wink

:: KitcHen iN tHe Hell ::

current mood : relax
current song : So hot by Wondergirls

In this whole week, i was busy watching the Hell's kitchen Season 3 series in youtube website.
I was fascinated by the 1st and 2nd season shown by NTV7 every sunday, 1045 pm, so i decided to continue watching the 3rd and 4th season(latest season) online.

the king of hell's kitchen : Chef Gordon Ramsey

The challenges grew harder and harder in every episodes for every seasons, that's why i found it is an interesting tv show. Every episode is unpredictable, and i anticipated each episodes with excitement and nervousness, as if i am the participant...haha

it's very interesting to see on how fast and professional the chefs can cook to full fill the customers' orders, how delicious the food they produced, and you also got to see their teamwork in the kitchen. plus, we can gain some knowledge about some cooking terms that are used by them.

Hell's Kitchen is an American reality-television cooking competition, based on a series of the same name, broadcast in the UK. The format of the program is similar to the UK version, with a red team and a blue team competing in various cooking challenges for most of the season; once the number of remaining players are small enough, they become a single black team and compete individually. [ source : wikipedia ]

he who survive, will win!!
from left :
Season 1 :Michael Wray; was formerly the head chef at Tatou in Los Angeles, CA
Season 2 :Heather West; was named senior chef of Terra Rossa at the Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino.
Season 3 :Rahman "Rock" Harper; was named head chef of Green Valley Ranch's Terra Verde

p/s : try to watch those episodes, and u guys will know and feel the excitement... [smile]

:: MaTa oH maTa ::

current mood: nil
current song : nobody by Wondergirls

I went to the panel clinic today after the class. Currently i am suffering this unbearable eyes irritation for the past 3 days, and its getting worst. My eyes become red, watery and itchy all the time and it is very painful every time when i try to close my eyes. My vision is affected as well, and it seems so blur every where. [huhu... pedih n sakit mcm bila syampu msk mata... cuma yg nih 2X ganda sakitnye..]

This is not my first time experiencing this condition, actually. I already had it before, seldomly.

The doctor said that i am suffering an allergy. It might due to the food that i consumed. "Allergy to food can affect your nose or skin or eyes, depends on the type of food and your genetic..." so that's what she said. She also advised me to eat carefully and to avoid any dusty area because it will just make the irritation becomes worst.

I got an eyedrop which is need to be applied for every 2 hours, and some pills as well. Hopefully my eyes condition will be better. ~aamin

:: mirror MirRor On ThE Wall ::

current mood : calm + serene [physically exhausted]
current song : Doa yang terlupakan by Ungu

i looked into the mirror and see this average person, which is me. i observed my reflection.
i am five foot four, neither dark nor fair.
a medium kind of person; not too fat, and not too skinny; i exercise twice a week. walk a little, jog a little, and sports a little.

I am neither out-going nor shy, but a little of both, depends on the situations and my mood as well. I never overdo anything, and enjoy most things i do.

i have the average looks; not stunning, and not ugly.
i am never overwhelmed, or under it either; just nicely whelmed. I am OK.
Nothing spectacular but sometimes special.

:: Never forget ::
Always recite this prayer every time we look into the mirror:
"O Allah, just as You have made my external features beautiful,
make my character beautiful as well". (An-Nisa)
" Ya Allah, sempurnakanlah akhlakku sepertimana Kau sempurnakan wajahku"

:: Something to think about ::
Hijab begins in the heart and encompasses our every action as Muslim women:
it isn't just the scarf on our head and how we accessorised it,
but along with it, it should be balanced with our good characters.

:: My Ikan Bakar Story ::

current mood : relieve
current song : womaniser by britney spears. [huhu... jgn tgk video clip dia okey!! ]

:: Perkampungan Ikar Bakar Terapung, Umbai ::

During one fine crazy weekend in this year [ i forgot the exact date], we managed to get a taste of Umbai. To be exact, we went to Perkampungan Ikan Bakar Terapung Umbai. For those who don’t know, Umbai is a famous travelling spot in Melaka where you can experience a great taste of seafood.

:: the main entrance ::
pic resource : google.com

Terapung tak??

I was relieved that we reached there earlier because when we got out, the place was jam packed with cars trying to get in. One of the best things about these place are that you get to choose your own fishes and crustaceans. You also can decide on how your seafood are going to be prepared. Be it steam, grill, or anything...!

:: Perkampungan Ikan Bakar, Alai ::

Last month, during Ramadhan, i went to Alai, another famous spot for Ikan Bakar to try their seafood. It is true what I've heard, their food is much better and more delicious than Umbai's. Their seafood is more fresh, [we know from their look and the taste after being cooked] It's not that Umbai's food is not delicious, it's just that Alai's is better...go and try them for yourself!!

The fish were well grilled. Charcoal crispy on the outside but moist and soft on the inside. That's the makings of a good ikan bakar...!!!

People called these "skallop" [not sure the spelling..heh]
We opt for ' skallop goreng kunyit'. [sedap sangat] It's my first time eating this thing.

In Melaka, people usually eat the seafood by itself or with nasi lemak because they are more delicious than eating with the rice. That's what they said.

One more thing: see the picture on the left. it's called sepahat. Only available in Melaka. It's a species of 'siput' in bamboo shape. Very-very unique. It is taste like kerang + ketam. [what the?? ] Undescribable taste, but very nice, heh

When you want to try sepahat, go for sepahat goreng bercili. [drooling]

That's all... i'm going to continue studying...daaaa~

:: EDISI ISTIMEWA SYAWAL : entri bahasa melayu ::

1 syawal 1429, pagi nirmala.
Perbualan kami sekeluarga hari itu bermula selepas solat sunat hari raya.

"Ayah, selamat hari raya. cemana raya kat sana? ", kami bertanya. "hmmm.. ntah lah. tapi tadi ayah gi sembahyang raya pakai
uniform kerja.... ", jawab ayah ringkas.

Teringat kembali ketika pertama kali beraya tanpa ayah. Ketika itu aku berusia 10 tahun. Ayah telah mengirimkan kad raya untukku beralamatkan sekolahku. Guru kelasku, Puan Salina yang membacanya untukku. Yang lucunya, dia mengalirkan air mata lantas memeluk aku yang belum sempat membacanya. Terpinga-pinga seketika apabila dipeluk guru yang menangis. "Kesian kamu.

Syukur alhamdulillah.. Aku akan menghargai peluang yang ada.

“Ketahuilah sesungguhnya Allah tidak memakbulkan doa
yang datang dari hati yang lalai”

[Riwayat al-Hakim dan al-Tirmidhi yang menghasankannya]

" we never know how much we love someone until they are gone..."

Kecuali orang tua kita.

Salam aidilfitri.

the meter above shows that i look equally like my mom and my dad.. so, what do u guys think??
it's up to your judgement..but most of the time, people say that i look more like my dad, but in female version la kan... ahaha~

these few weeks i have been busy with my studies, struggling hard to adapt to new subjects which i found more challenging than the previous years. not to miss, i also watched a lot of movies with different genre and language. [ citer korea, omputih, hindustan...layan smua..haha]

but i love kungfu panda the most...!! [ cute la panda tuh..!! ]
by looking with my eyes, and feel from my heart... there are a lot of things that inspire me.

" pandanglah setiap apa yang berlaku dengan mata hati,
kerana
pandangan mata selalu menipu
pandangan akal selalu tersalah
pandangan nafsu selalu melulu

- hijjaz -

to make something special, you just have to believe it is special !!!

Kung Fu Panda ends up being a funny (not outright hilarious), exciting, well animated and beautiful to look at movie that both kids and yes, even adults will enjoy. It’s not a Pixar film… but very good nonetheless. Overall I give Kung Fu Panda a 7.5 out of 10.

At last..!! my dad managed to get approval for his 'cuti' after several rejections for cuti applications from his boss..[susah btol nk dpt cuti..huhu]

For this year, cameron highlands is our family vacation destination after pulau kapas last year.

Travelling always open our eyes to new things if we travel with the right reasons.
if we travel untuk tengok bangunan lawa, shopping, amik gambar,

And we will discover that there is another world out there, and that Allah's knowledge is so vast. We will discover new ideas, new perspectives and at the end of the trip, we will be awed enough to say "Subhanallah".

And when we do say that, we know that we are one step closer to God.

hopefully these trip will give us a positive start
to face a new day with a light heart...insha-allah..

HI everyone!!!!

just busy studying for the final exam. Being depriving myself of much computer blogging /games etc., i also even suspended myself from shopping and missing my favourite tv series. I am busy like hell...*sigh

Nargis: Asia’s 2nd most devastating cyclone

2 May 2008. Myanmar was strike by a deadly Nargis cyclone around 12 a.m (local time). The cyclone took about 10 hours with a speed of 120 kmph to destroy the whole Irrawaddy Delta and areas which are close to it.

Nargis is a cyclone because it arose in the Indian Ocean. What differentiates cyclones from hurricanes and typhoons is where they arise.

If one is born in the Atlantic Ocean or east of the international date line in the Pacific, it's called a hurricane; in the northwest Pacific, it's a typhoon; in the Southwest Pacific and Southeastern Indian Ocean, it becomes a severe tropical cyclone;

in the north Indian, it's a severe cyclonic storm; and in the southwest Indian, it is referred to as a tropical cyclone.

They can carry as much energy as 10,000 nuclear bombs—making them nature's most destructive storms...!!!!

With homes flattened and loved ones missing... they try very hard to survive.

Dead bodies from Cyclone Nargis float on a flooded field in Labutta.

p/s : i'm posting this to inform ppl out there who are not aware of what's happening around them. the type that wouldn't care less to read the newspaper, or watch the news. the type that ignored things, and will only react until something that is important or related to them were taken or gone. [ this type of ppl disgust me. very much. enough.]
